Speech & Language Link at the National Inclusion and SEN Conference

What a great event! We enjoyed engaging with SENCOs, speech and language therapy assistants, teachers, inclusion officers, and many other dedicated professionals. Thank you to those who visited our stand to find out how we can help you to support inclusion. To all of those who signed up to our free trial - you’ll be hearing from us shortly to get you started!

It was such a privilege to meet Sara Walton and Gianni Bianchi, directors from Kemnal Academies Trust a MAT that we have a long-standing relationship with. Their approach to inclusion and passion for supporting children and young individuals with SEND are truly inspiring.

Matt Bromley's talk was nothing short of inspiring. We wholeheartedly agree that learners' lived experiences should be mirrored in their education. This not only deepens understanding but also ensures that they see themselves represented in their learning journey. It was fantastic to chat with Matt afterwards.

Ann Marie Christian's session on partnership working in safeguarding shed light on the immense challenges faced by children and young people with SLCN when it comes to disclosure. Ann Marie, thank you for stopping by to discuss our shared passion for helping these children thrive!

It was lovely to catch up with Jean Gross CBE, whom we have enjoyed hearing from previously at our Link Live conferences. Jean’s talk about encouraging schools to truly build inclusive classrooms by making ‘special’ universal thought-provoking. A real take away from this session was Jean’s comment ‘SEND provision is built in, not bolt on’

It's wonderful to see such commitment in our community towards enhancing the lives of those who need it most. Let's continue working together to make a positive impact in the world of speech and language therapy.

If you missed our Speech & Language Link team at the conference, don't worry! We hope to see you at another one soon. To discover how we can assist you in supporting your students, sign up for our free trial here.
