The Link
The Link magazine is sent termly, free of charge to all UK primary schools to provide clear accessible information on supporting speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Our speech and language therapists and expert guest contributors offer strategies and activities to support pupils with SLCN in the mainstream classroom. Our regular ‘Ask a Therapist’ feature addresses questions from schools and the new ‘Link Community’ area shares the latest news and gives Speech and Language Link users a voice to share tips and best practice.
Issue 25 of The Link magazine focusses on profound speech and language difficulties and articles include tips for supporting children with Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia, a parent’s perspective of DLD and what she would like to share with teachers and a case study on helping a child with autism develop his communication skills. We include a 4-page Link Live brochure with a special ticket offer for our readers and share another Speech and Language Link school’s tips in the Link Community pages.
